Summer
time is a busy time, but it’s a fun time too. There are a
number of special events planned for Sunday evenings through
the summer that should prove to be fun and encouraging. Some
of the events planned are: The Graduate Party at the Layden’s
house, Family Fun Night here at the church, V.B.S., Ice Cream
on the River, and our Back to School / Welcome Back College
Students party. Because of those special events and because
there would be a real lack of continuity in our regular Sunday
evening services, the leaders have decided to suspend our
Sunday evening services through the summer. Let me encourage
you to use some of those Sunday evenings when there are no
special events and no services, to spend extra time with
family, or invite some friends over for supper or a cookout.
As the church grows bigger, fellowship becomes more important.
1 Peter 4:9 tells us to offer hospitality to one another.
Please take advantage of those Sunday evenings throughout the
summer to practice hospitality, fellowship, and grown in your
relationships.
